2.  Thanksgiving Day Turkey Shoot
This event is for experienced shooters only!
On Thursday, November 23, 2017 the club will be hosting our annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey shoot.  The event will be from 9 am until 12 pm with cash prizes.  This is a "luck shoot" event so that every one can enjoy.  The shooting events will consist of  .22 (rifle or handgun) and a shotgun (12 and/or 20 gauge) firearms.  Entry fee is $5 for each event with $10 going to the winner and $5 to second place for each event.  The proceeds go to charity.  Bring your own firearms and .22 ammunition.  The club will provide the shotgun ammo as it must be steel shot.
3.  Shotgun Deer Season
The entire range will be closed from Monday, November 27 until Saturday, December 2, 2017 to accommodate the first week of shotgun deer season.  During that week, the gate will be left open for hunters; however, no shooting on the range is permitted during that time.
4.  Massachusetts Gun Law Course
The club has tentatively scheduled a Massachusetts Guns Law Course to be instructed by Jon Greene of GOAL on Friday December 15, 2017 pending the signup of at least 24 participants.  This is a very important course as Massachusetts gun laws are quite complicated.  If you are interested, please contact Executive Officer Craig Poosikian at (508) 240-2345 for details.  Exact time and venue are still being worked out.
5.  Range Safety Officer (RSO) Course
An NRA Range Safety Officer (RSO) course will be held at the club on Saturday, December 16, and Sunday December 17, 2017.  Both days are eight hours of instruction with practical firearms handling/shooting.  There are 8 spots available.  The club believes strongly that more members having RSO training make our club a safer place for everyone.  If you are interested in becoming an NRA Certified Range Safety Officer (RSO), please contact Executive Officer Craig Poosikian at (508) 240-2345.  Pre-registration is required to attend this very popular course.
