Women's Firearms Instruction

On Saturday, April 25, 2020, Nauset Rod and Gun Club, in conjunction with GOAL, will be holding a firearms instruction and training class for women only.  The course will take place at the NR&GC clubhouse and ranges.

 Those who complete this course will receive their Massachusetts Gun Safety Certificate which will allow recipients to apply for a Massachusetts Firearms Identification Card (FID) or License to Carry (LTC).  To participate you must be female and 18 years old or older on the date of the course.

The course will consist of 3 hours of classroom instruction followed by 3 hours of practical gun shooting.  Participants will fire handgun, rifle, and shotgun as part of the orientation.  Firearms and ammunition will be provided.

This is a public event limited to the first 24 registrants.  If you are, or if you know of any women who may be, interested, please pass this invitation along.  All participants must contact Craig Poosikian no later than April 18 to hold a seat; however, this is first come first serve event.  This event is advance registration only.  No walk up participants will be accepted.

Participant sign-in will be at 8:30 am on Saturday April 25, classroom instruction is from 9:00 am until noon, lunch (which is provided by NRGC) from noon until 1:00 pm, and practical gun handling from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm.  The course fee is $75 per student.  This is a rain or shine event, so please dress accordingly.
