Action shooting report for October

The fourth Sunday every month is when the Nauset Rod and gun club holds their action shooting event. Octobers shoot was scarily fun.

Saturday’s set up was a wet adventure with Steve Grindell, George Bisgounis, Matry Stephner and Chris Cutter helping Club action shooting coordinator Jim Curtis set up for the shoot in the pouring rain for the next day’s shoot.

Sunday’s weather was much dryer, but a little windy. Six stages were set up with the names of Big Dog, P-nut Gallery, Wall O Steel, Y and Big M, and featured some very Halloween appropriate targets.

Fourteen shooters all had a great time. Craig Thorton took first place with the lowest overall time of 157.91. Jim Curtis took second place with a score of 187.59 and Bill Ferry took third place with a score of 200.20.
