Training Available at NR&GC
NRA Basic Pistol Course
Nauset Rod & Gun Club periodically offers a Safety course in NRA Basic Pistol. The course is taught by NRA/Massachusetts Certified Instructors. No License or permit is required. All firearms, ammunition, study materials and safety equipment will be provided. Safety considerations limit class size so pre-registration is required and you MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD. The course fee covers the issue of all certification certificates.
The NRA Basic Pistol Course/Massachusetts State Police approved Firearms Safety Course LTC-002 is required for all new “License To Carry” applicants which allows the ownership of pistols, shotguns and rifles. This is a one day course to teach the basic knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. The course will include information on parts and operation, ammunition, cleaning, shooting fundamentals and shooting positions, plus improving and maintaining shooting skills.
The Club does not have any classes currently scheduled.
