This August, Nauset Rod & Gun Club was glad to host Boy Scout Troop 32 from Foxborough for a morning of firearms safety and shooting.
The visit began with classroom safety instruction in the clubhouse, followed by clays out on the skeet field and .22 rifle at the pistol range. Certified range officers from both the troop and the club were on hand throughout the day. A real highlight for the scouts was the chance to each fire a round through an M1 Garand — a memory they won’t soon forget.
Our thanks to everyone who helped make the day possible, and to the troop’s leaders for bringing the scouts out to the Cape. Events like this are exactly what the club is here for.
